She was predeceased by: her parents, Norman Cohn and Floria Cohn; and her sisters, Joslyn Ragland and Lonnie Spooner. She is survived by: her husband Jesse Johnson Jr.; her children, Jasmine Alexis Johnson, Jeslyn Amani Johnson and James Aden Johnson; and her sister Patricia Offlee.

Visitation was held on Friday, March 7th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the Weed-Corley-Fish Funeral Homes and Cremation Services (1200 S Bagdad Rd, Leander, TX 78641). A funeral service was held on Friday, March 7th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the same location.

Eventually, after working for the American Cancer Society, she dedicated herself to giving her knowledge in science to sixth and seventh graders as a middle school science teacher.
