He was predeceased by: his parents, Lola Longanecker and Howard Longanecker; his wife Margaret Durrett; his daughter Nancy McIntosh; and his siblings, Ed, Wilbur Longanecker and Jan Bowen.
He is survived by: his children, Barbara Jane Longanecker of Leakey Tx and Charles David Longanecker Jr. (Donna) of Ropesville Tx; his grandchildren, Douglas Mort of Leakey, TX., Lauren Bruce (Alex) of Dumfries Virginia and Caleb Longanecker of Ropesville, TX.; and his sister Janie Bair (Dick) of Punta Gorda, FL.. He is also survived by nieces, nephews and wonderful friends.
