With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Betty Jean Smith of Leakey, Texas, who passed away on September 23, 2024 at the age of 92. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Walter Franklin White and Mary Gertrude Clark White; her husband Herman Edward Smith (Smitty); and her siblings, Robert, George White, Hallie Chisum, Mary Chisum and Ann Schulze.
She is survived by: her daughter Linda Smith Bourland (William); her granddaughter Amanda Gonzalez (Alberto); her great grandchildren, Miranda Richter, Austin and Ainsley Gonzalez; her granddaughter Lutie Nicole Wooten (Jayme); and her nieces and nephews, Carol Ann Kolb (Scott), Lois Ann King (Bobby), Steve Smith and Fred Smith. She is also survived by numerous other nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews.
