He was predeceased by: his siblings, Joel and Willie Mae; and his daughter Kathleen. He is survived by: his wife Kenda; his daughter Kristi Shirley; and his grandchildren, Patrick Utecht, William Utecht (Tiffany), Kasey Ringer (Graham) and Katy Gay (Haley). He is also survived by his great-grandchildren.
