He was predeceased by: his parents, Harriette Fallis Essary and Howard Essary (Karen Gross Essary). He is survived by: his former wife Karen Gross; his wife Phyllis Campbell Essary; his children, Wayne Campbell, Kim Essary Patten, Vicki Essary Bradbeer and Lori Campbell Ashenfelder; and his grandchildren, Kristi Endres, DJ Newcomb, Kelsie Williams, Ryan Newcomb, Abby Patten, John Patten, Travis Patten, Blake Bradbeer, Will Bradbeer, Logan Ashenfelder and Morgan Ashenfelder. He is also survived by many friends and golf partners.
The family asks that in lieu of flowers, donations are made to either The Diabetes Research and Action Education Foundation, diabetesaction.org, or the American Heart Association, heart.org.
