She was predeceased by: her parents, Eula Mae and Walter Johns; and her siblings, Esther Rae Owens (Clyde, Sr.) and Judge Clemons. She is survived by: her husband McKinley Lemons; her children, Tonya Lemons Jones (Winston, Sr.), Kennard Lemons (Lisa), Troy Lemons, Sr., Walter Brown, Sr. and Paul Brown, Jr.; and her grandchildren, Winston Jones, Jr., Webster Jones, Kyonna Lemons, Aaliyah Lemons, Taylor Lemons, Troy Lemons, Jr., Walter Brown, Jr., Paul Brown III, Kenosa Mayberry and Deshawn Mayberry.
