She is survived by: her daughter Aleth Merethe Cates (Doug); her brothers, Jan Hugo (Teri) and Carl Morten (Sidsel); her grandchildren, Ingrid Cates and Magnus Cates; and her nieces, Catrine Trygstad and Anja Szast Andersen.
