He is survived by: his wife Jo Sweeney; his brothers, Larry Sweeney of Hitchcock and Tim Sweeney (Grace Sweeney) of Yoakum; his son Shannon Sweeney; his daughter-in-law Crystal Sweeney; his granddaughter Briley Sweeney of League City; his son Greg Drummond; his daughter-in-law Sylvia Drummond; his granddaughter Kendall Drummond of Houston, Texas.; his sisters-in-law, Carolyn Brewer (Michael Brewer) of Alvin, Betty Fore of Friendswood and Rosemary Hurst (Lynn Hurst) of League City; and also Richard.
