He was predeceased by: his parents, James Tanner and Velma Tanner; his brothers, Robert (Bob) and James Tanner (Jimmie); his sisters-in-law, Inez Tanner and Lena Tanner; and his son Master Michael Tanner.
He is survived by: his wife Nannette Kirkpatrick; his children, Tiffany Shafer (Scott), Terri Brown (David) and Richard Tanner Jr.; his niece Judy Tanner; and his grandchildren, Erin Evans (Koarum), Becca Shafer, Jacob Brown, Katherine Brown and Avery Tanner. He is also survived by many family members and friends.
