He was predeceased by: his former wife Joan G. Reich; and his son Chris Sawyer. He is survived by: his wife Jan Reich; his daughters, Ivy L. Shipes (Charlene), Amy R. Parker and Suzanne Boscon (Michael); and his grandchildren, Jonathan Reed Parker, Joseph Shipes, Paige Parker, Jennifer Lumpkin, Anna Lumpkin and Theresa Shipes.
