It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Marie Magdalene Trahan (League City, Texas), born in Brenham, Texas, who passed away on April 18, 2019, at the age of 83, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Pete Gurka and Stella Gurka; her husband Frank Derkowski; her daughter Evelyn Derkowski; and her brother Philip Gurka (Gerald Trahan).
She is survived by: her children, Frank Derkowski Jr. (Nancy) and Carol Brunson (Aaron); her stepdaughters, Geri Trahan, Tracy Trahan Bannerman, Cyndi Trahan Bettinger and Andrea Trahan Vaughn; her siblings, Lillian Cossey and James Gurka (Sue); and her grandchildren, Tara Cervi (Chad), Adam Brunson (Sarah) and Zachary Brunson.
