She was loved and cherished by many people including: her parents, T. C. Downey and Ollie Downey; her husband James (Everett); her children, Vicki Irby, Sheri Howe and James Everett West, Jr.; her grandchildren, Traci Green, Michael Green, Cole Irby, Logan Howe and Gavin Howe; and her siblings, Mickey Christopher and J. C. Downey.
In lieu of flowers, Joyce requested that donations may be made to the American Heart Association, American Society of Nephrology, or MD Anderson.
