He was predeceased by: his mother Bernice Curtis North; his former wife Alicia McKinney; and his brothers, Larry, Kyle North and Derrick Lair.

He is survived by: his father Ernest North, Sr.; his wife Juwanda North; his children, Darla, Chenetta (Anthony), Casita and Ernest North, III; his siblings, Sharon Denise North, Robert Lee (Lena), Lonnie Ray (Charlotte), Tyrone and Terry Lee North; and his stepson Daniel Domingue, Jr.. He is also survived by eleven grandchildren, and one great-granddaughter, and a host of nieces, nephews, and cousins.

“My cousin was a wonderful man. He lived a peaceful and loving life and was blessed to have found love for the second time around. I pray for his family - his children, his father, his brothers, and especially his loving wife who now has to go the rest of the way alone without him. He will truly be missed. I especially will miss his daily phone calls and his corny jokes! He loved telling them and seriously thought they were funny. I will miss him for an eternity. Be blessed all.”
