It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Deacon Lydell Elias of League City, Texas, who passed away on November 25, 2024, at the age of 70, leaving to mourn family and friends. As we bid farewell to this luminous soul, let his loved ones carry forward the torch of his memory, illuminating the path ahead with the warmth of his love and the brilliance of his spirit. Though Deacon Lydell may journey beyond the horizon of our sight, his essence remains woven into the very fabric of our being — a guiding light in the darkness, a beacon of hope in the night.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Cora Elias and Oveail Elias. He is survived by: his wife Jeanette Crear Elias; and his children, Lydell II (Britnee), Bethany Goines (Tyler), Cortisha Elias and Carlesha Johnson. He is also survived by four grandchildren, four siblings, four sisters in-law, two brothers in-law, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins.
Viewing was held on Friday, December 13th 2024 at 9:00 AM at the Greater St. Matthew's Baptist Church (6333 Hwy 6, Hitchcock, TX 77563). A celebration of life was held on Friday, December 13th 2024 at 10:00 AM at the same location. A burial was held on Friday, December 13th 2024 from 12:00 PM to 12:30 PM at the Forest Park East Cemetery (21620 Gulf Fwy, Webster, TX 77598).
