She was predeceased by: her parents, George Baptist and Ella "Ruth" Baptist; her husbands, Thomas Verle Monical and Howard Leslie Hays; and her siblings, Elizabeth Speck (Fred), Dwight Baptist (Bette) and George "Babe" Baptist (Bennie).
She is survived by: her children, Paul Hays, Mark Monical (Valerie), Laura Hays (Randall Blum) and Kent Monical (Kelli); her grandchildren, Cara (Cole), Ben (Julie), Ellie, Abigail Schlueter (Laura), Jade Colmyer (Scott), Josh Lubben (Randi), Jordan (Austin) and Davis (Kent); and her sisters-in-law, Norma "Bennie" Baptist and Sue Shelton (Marlyn). She is also survived by ses many nieces, nephews and cousins.
