She was predeceased by: her parents, Willie Beatrice Dial Riddick and Martin Van Burean Riddick; her son Michael D. Smith; her stepchildren, Bonnie R. Murphree Danley and Doyle R. Murphree, Jr.; and her husband Doyle Robert Murphree, Sr..
She is survived by: her children, Randall I. Smith (Amy) of St. Amant, Louisiana and Corliss Smith Bennett of Santa Fe; and her grandchildren, Marti Murphree Kennedy (Keith) of Alvin, Texas, Mary Shaheen, Amber Yokum (John), Erin Menotti, Claire Shaheen (Chris), Beau Smith (Camille), Sylvia Thornton (Trey), Sabrina Noey Tippey (Jeff), Jennifer Murphree, Tyler Kennedy (Val), Austin Kennedy (Kyndal) and Rachel Murphree. She is also survived by seventeen great-grandchildren and many nieces, nephews and friends.
