He was predeceased by: his wife Geneva; his parents, W. L. Grissom and Ina Grissom; his daughter Wilma Caldwell; and his siblings, Jimmie Grissom, Darrel Grissom and Jody Kirk.
He is survived by: his friend Christine Wood; his children, Mike Brooks (Jena), Shirley White, Charlene Moore, Judy Burleson, Debra Scruggs and Genny Abercrombie (Todd); and his siblings, Dora Mankin, Sharon Rister (John) and Randall Grissom (Mary). He is also survived by many grandchildren, great-grandchildern, and nieces and nephews.
