He was predeceased by: his parents, Eula Ponder and Grady Ponder. He is survived by: his wife Patricia Bass; his children, Denise Boyd (Lanny), Dianne Strickland (Chris), Craig Ponder and Keith Ponder; his grandchildren, Landon Boyd (Doriece), Julie Rogers, Amber Simmons, Hope Saenz (Joshua) and Bryson Ponder; his great grandchildren, Chelsey Sunsin (Biyron), Brennen Boyd, Latham Boyd, Legend Boyd, Tanner Simmons, Kellen Simmons, Cruz Rogers, Mila Saenz, Sawyer Saenz and Savannah Saenz; his great great grandchildren, Penelope Sunsin, Lincoln Sunsin and Theodore Sunsin; and his sister Freda Smart (Clyde). He is also survived by nieces, nephews, great nieces, and great nephews.
