It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Nellie Marie Jones Currie (Latexo, Texas), born in Houston, Texas, who passed away on November 7, 2018, at the age of 83, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her husband Jessie Lee Currie; her son Meridth Currie; her granddaughters, Cassie, Cara and Kacie Currie; her parents, Roy Jones and Cora Mae Jones; and her siblings, Clyde Jones (Tencha), Wallace Jones (Nell) and Sally Shoemake.
She is survived by: her sons, Mark Currie of Latexo and Mack Currie (Teresa) of Lovelady; her daughter-in-law Katie Currie of Latexo; her grandchildren, Justin Currie, Candice Pitman of Latexo, Callie Currie, Cameron Runnels of Latexo, Cody Currie (Amber) of Lovelady and Colton Currie of Lovelady; her great grandchildren, Bryce Currie, Brilee Currie, Brentley Kinkelaar, Skyler Luce, Teagan Runnels, Peyton Runnels and Cannon Currie; her brother Roy Jones (Nell) of Latexo; and her brother-in-law Ben Shoemake of Latexo.
In lieu of flowers, memorial may be made to the Latexo Cemetery Association, 1854 Fm 2663, Crockett, TX 75835.
