She is survived by: her children, Amada Castillo Rodriguez (George), Mario Castillo Jr. (Lou Ann), Mary Lou Castillo Garza (Ernest), Frank Castillo (Arabella) and Juan Castillo (Melissa); her grandchildren, Jorge, Valeria Rodriguez-Cantu, Mario III, Lazaro, Brianna Castillo, Ernesto, Rebecca Garza, Francisco, Alfredo and Ariana Castillo; her great grandchildren, Kalina Nicole Cantu, Meelah Cantu, Anastasia Castillo, Adalina Castillo, Kahlil Cantu and Remy Wade Rodriguez; and her sisters, Virginia Compean, Rosie Compean, Maria and Rosario Palacios. She is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews.

Visitation was held on Friday, February 14th 2025 from 8:00 AM to 10:30 AM at the Fred Dickey Funeral & Cremation Services (1320 Trey Dr, Laredo, TX 78041). A Mass was held on Friday, February 14th 2025 at 11:00 AM and at 12:00 PM.
