He was predeceased by: his grandparents, Mario Luis Vargas, Sr. and Olga E. Ruiz; and his uncle Eduardo Ruiz. He is survived by: his parents, Mario L. Vargas and Laura E. Vargas; his brothers, Mario Luis Vargas III (Mariana Sarquiz) and Estevan Vargas; his nephew Ethan Manuel Vargas; his grandparents, Irma Gutierrez and Francisco Antonio Ruiz; and his aunts and uncles, Eduardo Jimenez (Amanda), Claudia Jimenez (Jorge Hernandez), Roberto Jimenez (Alma), Sonia Ruiz, Francisco Ruiz (Patricia) and Gerardo Ruiz (Antonia). He is also survived by numerous cousins, other relatives, and friends.
Visitation was held on Tuesday, January 14th 2025 from 5:00 PM to 9:00 PM at the Joe Jackson North Funeral & Cremation Services (1410 Jacaman Rd, Laredo, TX 78041). A rosary was held on Tuesday, January 14th 2025 from 7:00 PM to 7:30 PM at the same location. A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, January 15th 2025 at 9:30 AM at the Joe Jackson North Funeral Chapels (1410 Jacaman Rd, Laredo, TX 78041). A Mass will be held on Wednesday, January 15th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Santo Nino Catholic Church (2801 Cross St, Laredo, TX 78046). A burial will be held on Wednesday, January 15th 2025 from 11:30 AM to 12:00 PM at the Laredo Cemetery (3200 N Meadow Ave, Laredo, TX 78040).
