It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Sylvia B. Ramos (Laredo, Texas), who passed away on April 12, 2025, at the age of 81, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Alfredo Barrera and Maria Barrera. She is survived by: her husband Donato D. Ramos; her children, Leslie DeSpain Powell (Joe Bob) and Marshall Thomas DeSpain; her stepchildren, Judith Marie Jordan, Donato D. Ramos Jr. and Alfredo Raul Ramos; her grandchildren, Sophia Jordan, Russell David Jordan and Anna Jordan; and her siblings, Alfredo Barrera (Barbara), Benjamin Barrera (Cate), Patty Reiback (John), Diana Ugarte (Michael) and Francine Gutierrez (Javier). She is also survived by other relatives, and friends.
Visitation was held on Wednesday, April 16th 2025 from 7:00 AM to 9:00 AM at the Joe Jackson Heights Funeral Chapel & Cremation Services (719 N Loring Ave, Laredo, TX 78040). A funeral service was held on Wednesday, April 16th 2025 at 9:00 AM at the Joe Jackson Heights Funeral Chapels (719 N Loring Ave, Laredo, TX 78040). A Mass was held on Wednesday, April 16th 2025 at 9:30 AM at the San Agustin Cathedral (201 San Agustin Ave, Laredo, TX 78040). A burial was held on Wednesday, April 16th 2025 from 10:45 AM to 11:00 AM at the Calvary Catholic Cemetery (3600 McPherson Rd, Laredo, TX 78040).
