Sylvia A. Barraza Obituary
We are sad to announce that on January 25, 2025, Sylvia A. Barraza of Laredo, Texas passed away. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
As we bid Sylvia farewell, let us not mourn the absence of her physical form, but rather celebrate the essence of her spirit that lingers in the spaces between moments. For Sylvia is not truly gone, but merely transformed, her energy intertwined with the fabric of the universe itself, forever dancing among the stars.
She was predeceased by: her mother Carmen Guzman; and her husband Rosendo Barraza Sr.. She is survived by: her children, Emma Barraza (Fidel), Esmeralda Barraza (Hector) and Rosendo Barraza Jr.; her grandchildren, Angel Esquivel, Abigail Martinez, Raul Fuentes Jr. (Kazzy), John Paul Fuentes and Joseph Fuentes; and her brother Francisco Guzman. She is also survived by numerous nephews, nieces other relatives and many friends.
Visitation was held on Thursday, January 30th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 9:00 PM at the Hernandez-Lopez and Sons Northside Chapels (800 Boston St, Laredo, TX 78041). A vigil service was held on Thursday, January 30th 2025 at 7:00 PM at the same location.
