In the sacred silence of farewell, Ruben is released into the embrace of eternity, knowing that his light will continue to shine brightly in the tapestry of the lives of his loved ones. And as his memory is carried forward, may comfort be found in the knowledge that love is eternal, and that Ruben's spirit lives on in the beauty that surrounds us.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Amade Alfonso Puig and Josefa Soto Puig; and his wife Mary Gonzalez Puig. He is survived by: his close friend Rosario Amesquita; his friends, Rosa Nuñez, Ruby A. Ortiz (Luis) and Ruben Amesquita (Ana); and his godson Rodolfo Amesquita III (Melissa). He is also survived by other relatives and many friends.
Visitation was held on Thursday, February 13th 2025 from 8:00 AM to 10:00 AM at the Northside Chapels (800 Boston St, Laredo, TX 78041). A funeral service was held on Thursday, February 13th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the same location.
