She was predeceased by: her parents, Jose Maria and Amelia Vela. She is survived by: her husband Baldomero Vela; her children, Susana Vela, Baldomero Vela (Noemi) and Jose Maria Vela (Patricia); and her siblings, Elias Vela (Santos), Ruben Vela (ISabel) and Herlinda Vela. She is also survived by 8 grandchildren. and 16 great grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Friday, November 29th 2024 from 4:00 PM to 9:00 PM at the Northside Chapels (800 Boston St, Laredo, TX 78041). A vigil service was held on Friday, November 29th 2024 at 7:00 PM at the same location. A funeral service was held on Saturday, November 30th 2024 at 8:30 AM at the Mother Cabrini Catholic Church (3018 Davis Ave, Laredo, TX 78040). A Mass was held on Saturday, November 30th 2024 at 9:00 AM at the same location. A burial was held on Saturday, November 30th 2024 at the Calvary Catholic Cemetery (3600 McPherson Rd, Laredo, TX 78040).
