He was predeceased by: his parents, Benito Carrillo and Maria Carrillo; his spouse Atanacia Carrillo; his daughter Emma Carrillo; and his siblings, Manuel Carrillo, Juan Carrillo and Maria Louisa Carrillo.

He is survived by: his children, Susana Ovando (Arturo), Arturo Carrillo (Maria), Rogelio Carrillo (Sandra), Jorge Carrillo (Laura), Sara Alicia Carrillo, Mario Carrillo (Yolanda) and Veronica Rodriguez (Humberto); and his siblings, Raul Carrillo (Maria), Francisco Carrillo (Norma) and Norma Carrillo. He is also survived by 30 grandchildren and many great-grandchildren.
