She was predeceased by: her husband Juan Medina; her parents, Jesus Escobar and Maria Escobar; her sister Antonia Lerma; and her grandson Juan Landa.

She is survived by: her children, Gloria Jimenez (Luis), Rita Landa, Maria F. Gonzalez, Juan Medina Jr. (Laura), Hector Medina (Nicolasa), Jesus Medina (Candelaria), Monica Hinojosa (Miguel) and Rodolfo Medina (Angelica). She is also survived by her 30 grandchildren, 66 great grandchildren, and 7 great-great- grandchildren.
