She was predeceased by : her parents, James Buford and Delena Buford; her significant other Howard Cary Jr.; her daughter Mary Elizabeth Souza; her granddaughters, Cary Alyssa and Kali Marissa Reynolds; her siblings, Jeanette Frank and James Buford, Jr.; and her sons-in-law, Miles Reynolds, Larry Rea and Joe Souza.

She is survived by : her daughters, Laura Cary Rea (Reuben) and Louise Moreno; her grandchildren, Larry Rea (Wendy), Adam Rea (Rachel) and Kasi Hennigan (Joseph); her great grandchildren, Kristopher Jordan (Cassidee), Jacob Taylor and Emma Dell Rea; and her great great grandchildren, Haze Jordan and Jackson Taylor. She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
