He was predeceased by: his brother David Velasquez. He is survived by: his parents, Vidal Velasquez and Genoveva Velasquez; his siblings, Vidal Velasquez Jr. (Elizabeth), Ruben Velasquez (Pamela), Oscar Velasquez (Christine) and Monica Yvette Velasquez; and his fiancé Malaikah Mullins.
