She was predeceased by: her parents, Jose Alvarado and Guadalupe Alvarado; her former husband Arturo Gomez; her brother Ramon Alvarado; her parents-in-law, Santiago Gomez, Marion Sanders (Jim), Beatriz Gomez and Mary Sanders; and her siblings-in-law, Leandro Gonzalez, Alberto Gomez, Santiago Gomez, Idalia Alvarado and Rosa Alvarado.
She is survived by: her husband James Sanders; her daughters, Cordelia Garza-Gongora (Eduardo) and Monica Gomez (Isabelle); her stepdaughters, Tanya Garza and Romy Sanders (Roni Liberman); her grandchildren, Joaquin Garza-Gongora, Marcella Garza-Gongora, Alexia Garza-Gongora, David James Garza, Jacob Garza, Noah Garza and Avigail Liberman; her siblings, Jose Alvarado (Mary), Roberto Alvarado (Cindy), Daniel Alvarado (Marilyn), Teresa Colecio (Antonio), Ricardo Alvarado (Teresa), Francisca Thornhill (Robert) and Rene Alvarado (Sonia); and her sisters-in-law, Berta Garcia (Eduardo), Angela Gomez, Carol Dozier and Sally Daniels. She is also survived by cousins, nieces, nephews, and dear friends.
Visitation was held on Thursday, January 2nd 2025 from 5:00 PM to 9:00 PM at the Joe Jackson North Funeral & Cremation Services (1410 Jacaman Rd, Laredo, TX 78041). A rosary was held on Thursday, January 2nd 2025 from 7:00 PM to 7:30 PM at the same location. A funeral service was held on Friday, January 3rd 2025 at 9:30 AM at the Joe Jackson North Funeral Chapels (1410 Jacaman Rd, Laredo, TX 78041). A Mass was held on Friday, January 3rd 2025 from 10:00 AM to 10:45 AM at the San Martin de Porres Catholic Church (1704 Sandman St, Laredo, TX 78041). A burial was held on Friday, January 3rd 2025 from 11:00 AM to 11:15 AM at the Calvary Catholic Cemetery (3600 McPherson Rd, Laredo, TX 78040).
