She is survived by: her children, Ruben Mendoza (Maria Guadalupe), Hortencia Mendoza, Elva and Alex Mendoza; and her grandchildren, Ruben (Nika), Gustavo, Maria Guadalupe, Erik, Victor, Justin Alejandro, Charlie and Matthew. She is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, relatives, and friends.
In keeping with her tradition of philanthropy, she often made contributions to organizations that helped animals and her community.
