With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Marcia C Guzman in Laredo, Texas, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on November 30, 2024 at the age of 85. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her husband Gregorio Rene Guzman; her daughter Elia Nora Montes; her granddaughter Jo Marie Garcia; her son-in-law Omar Garcia; and her parents, Enrique Cuellar and Reymunda T. Cuellar.
She is survived by: her children, Gregorio Rene Guzman Jr. (Marta), Gerardo Roel Guzman (Kristy), Elva Nelia Garcia (Olivero Ramos), Elsa N. Rosales (John), Elida N. Solis (Gustavo) and Erica N. Wright (Darius); her grandchildren, Patricia Montes, Baldemar Montes Jr., Amparo Montes, Issac Guzman, Dominic Guzman, Noralyssa Guzman, Gerardo Guzman Jr. (Benji Hernandez), Amber Murillo (Salvador), Brandon Rene Guzman, Omar Garcia Jr., Arturo Alfredo Garcia, Mario Orlando Garcia, Ricky Lee Garcia, April Marie Perry (Steve), Adrianna Wright and Darius Wright Jr.; and her son-in-law Baldemar Montes. She is also survived by 27 great grandchildren, 1 great-great-grandchild.
Visitation was held on Friday, December 6th 2024 from 8:30 AM to 10:30 AM at the Rose Garden Funeral Home (2102 US-83, Zapata, TX 78076). A rosary was held on Friday, December 6th 2024 at 10:00 AM at the same location. A procession was held on Friday, December 6th 2024 at 10:30 AM at the same location. A Mass was held on Friday, December 6th 2024 at 11:00 AM at the Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church (1610 Hidalgo Blvd, Zapata, TX 78076).
