He was predeceased by: his parents, Antonio Barrera and Altagracia Gonzalez; and his wife Emilia Barrera. He is survived by: his children, Alma Gonzalez (Vicente), Edith Treviño (Fernado), Manuel Alberto Barrera (Manuela) and Hugo Barrera (Rocio). He is also survived by numerous relatives and many friends.
