With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Lucia Saldivar of Laredo, Texas, born in Jacksonville, North Carolina, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on November 11, 2024. She was loved and cherished by many people including: her father Guadalupe Saldivar; her son Alvaro Gutierrez; her sister Alicia Ortiz; her great grandchild Cruz Angel Guzman; her children, Alex Gutierrez (Mamie), Lucia De (Alfredo) and Guadalupe Gutierrez (Olga); her grandchildren, Clarissa Guzman (Cris), Jose Luis Borrego Jr., Araceli Borrego, Sixto De La Cruz, Mateo De La Cruz, Bella Gutierrez, Danika Gutierrez, Lexie Gutierrez and Keyanna Gutierrez; her mother Ofelia Saldivar; her great grandchildren, Cristian Guzman, Camila Guzman and Corina Guzman; and her siblings, Sylvia Cantu (Juan) and Daniel Saldivar. She was also cherished by numerous other relatives and many friends.
Visitation was held on Wednesday, November 13th 2024 from 5:00 PM to 9:00 PM at the Hernandez-Lopez and Sons Northside Chapels (800 Boston St, Laredo, TX 78041). A Mass was held on Thursday, November 14th 2024 from 11:00 AM to 11:45 AM at the San Luis Rey Catholic Church (3502 Sanders Ave, Laredo, TX 78041). A burial was held on Thursday, November 14th 2024 at the Calvary Catholic Cemetery (3600 McPherson Rd, Laredo, TX 78040).
