He is survived by: his wife Veronica Serna; his children, Kassandra Serna (Gerardo Vargas), Juan Cesar Serna Jr. and Lisbeth Serna; and his siblings, Josefina Villalobos, Martina Ramirez (Homero Maldonado), Rodolfo Serna (Elida), Jose Angel Serna (Amparo), Irma Salas and Raul Serna (Eloisa). He is also survived by numerous other relatives and many friends.
