He is survived by: his wife Josefina Martinez Venegas; his children, Licela Venegas (Daniel), Guillermo Venegas (Joanna), Jorge Venegas Jr. (Arabela), Samuel Venegas, Armando Venegas (Veronica) and Gerardo Venegas (Susana); and his siblings, Raul Venegas Jr. (Elva), Ruben Venegas (Idalia), Homero Venegas (Ana), Sergio Venegas (Concepcion), Ricardo Venegas (Janie), Patricia Vela (Danny), Gabina Sada (Martin Sada), Sylvia Gomez and Olga Flores.
Visitation was held on Friday, February 7th 2025 from 5:00 PM to 9:00 PM and on Saturday, February 8th 2025 from 7:00 AM to 10:00 AM. A rosary was held on Friday, February 7th 2025 from 7:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Hillside Funerals and Cremations (310 W Hillside Rd, Laredo, TX 78041). A Mass of Christian burial was held on Saturday, February 8th 2025 from 10:30 AM to 11:30 AM at the Cabrini Catholic Church (3018 Davis Ave, Laredo, TX 78040).
