He was predeceased by: his wife Guadalupe Montoya; and his parents, Casimiro Montoya and Lucia Montoya Gomez. He is survived by: his son Joel Montoya (Vanessa); and his grandchildren, Joel Eli Montoya, Jr. and Emmalyn Montoya. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, other family members.
