He was predeceased by: his parents, Jose Ortegon and Alicia Ortegon; and his brother Jose Ortegon Jr.. He is survived by: his wife Gloria Iris Ortegon; his children, Hector Omar Ortegon, Priscilla Ortegon Ruiz and Albert Longoria; his grandchildren, Andria Ortegon, Hector Omar Ortegon Jr., Carlos "Charlie" Ruiz and Sophia Ruiz; his great grandchildren, Haylee, Haydee Ortegon and Daniel Munoz; his sister Sylvia O. Sanchez; and his sister-in-law Rosalinda Garza.
Visitation was held on Wednesday, December 18th 2024 from 5:00 PM to 9:00 PM at the Hillside Funerals and Cremations (310 W Hillside Rd, Laredo, TX 78041). A rosary was held on Wednesday, December 18th 2024 from 7:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the same location.
