Esperanza C. Arriaga Obituary

With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Esperanza C. Arriaga (Laredo, Texas), who passed away on December 24, 2024 at the age of 77. She was predeceased by: her husband Valeriano Arriaga, Jr.; her granddaughter Cristina Nicole Arriaga; her parents, Florencio Canizales and Esperanza Paz; her siblings, Roberto Canizales, Rogelio Canizales, Elvira Ortiz, Raul Canizales and Juanita Ramirez; and her parents-in-law, Valeriano Arriaga and Consuelo Arriaga.

She is survived by: her children, Roy Arriaga (Sara) and Rene Arriaga (Yuri); her grandchildren, Mark Anthony Arriaga of Roy Arriaga, II., Kobe Arriaga, Meadow Arriaga, Jordan Arriaga and Kyrie Arriaga; and her siblings, Florencio Canizales (Estela), Amparo Canizales, Jose Angel Canizales, Eva Holguin (Mark Ellner) and Sara Campos (Ricardo). She is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, extended relatives, and friends.

Visitation was held on Friday, January 3rd 2025 from 5:00 PM to 9:00 PM at the Joe Jackson North Funeral & Cremation Services (1410 Jacaman Rd, Laredo, TX 78041). A prayer was held on Friday, January 3rd 2025 from 7:00 PM to 7:30 PM at the same location. A funeral service was held on Saturday, January 4th 2025 at 9:30 AM and from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM. A burial was held on Saturday, January 4th 2025 from 11:15 AM to 12:15 PM at the Calvary Catholic Cemetery (3600 McPherson Rd, Laredo, TX 78040).
