He was predeceased by: his parents, Porfirio Gonzalez and Virginia Gonzalez; his brother Francisco Gonzalez; his grandson Jacob E. Gonzalez; and his brothers-in-law, Leopoldo Sanchez and Robert Huron.
He is survived by: his wife Gloria Gonzalez; his children, Gerardo "Jerry" Gonzalez, Emilio "Miris" Gonzalez Jr. (Esmeralda), Cynthia Y. Gonzalez and Samuel "Sam" Gonzalez (Edna T.); his grandchildren, Brian Villarreal (Ana), Esmeralda Gonzalez (Jeff) and Cassandra Gonzalez; his sisters, Anita Sanchez, Hilda Cornett (John), Virginia Salinas (Oscar), Nora Huron and Dora Gonzalez; and his brother-in-law Jose O. "Fito" Gonzalez (Lorrie). He is also survived by numerous other relatives, and friends.
Visitation will be held on Friday, February 28th 2025 from 5:00 PM to 9:00 PM at the Joe Jackson North Funeral & Cremation Services (1410 Jacaman Rd, Laredo, TX 78041). A rosary will be held on Friday, February 28th 2025 from 7:00 PM to 7:30 PM at the same location. A funeral service will be held on Saturday, March 1st 2025 at 8:30 AM at the Joe Jackson North Funeral Chapels (1410 Jacaman Rd, Laredo, TX 78041). A Mass will be held on Saturday, March 1st 2025 from 9:00 AM to 10:00 AM at the San Martin de Porres Catholic Church (1704 Sandman St, Laredo, TX 78041).
