Janice Simmons Obituary
We are sad to announce that on August 10, 2021, at the age of 75, Janice Simmons of Lantana, Texas, born in Crossett, Arkansas passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Willie Heinley and Frances Ozment Heinley (Elizabeth); and her siblings, Willie Everett Heinley, Donald Heinley, Richard Heinley and Shirley Heinley Ford.
She is survived by: her husband Leon Simmons; her children, Britt Simmons (Tracey) of Edmond, Oklahoma, LeAnn Cotten (Craig) of Lantana and Heather Detchman (Jeff) of Battle Ground, Washington; her grandchildren, Zachary, Cassidy, Renee, Ryan, Jeffrey, Matthew, Abbie Grace, Aaron and Jack; and her nephew Tommy Woods (Sheila).
Due to the recent increase in Covid-19 cases in our area, the family has chosen to have a private graveside service at Judson Cemetery with Leon's cousin, Robert Earl Ballard of Crossett, officiating.
