It is with great sadness that we announce the death of David Bassett of Laneville, Texas, born in Houston, Texas, who passed away on November 22, 2021, at the age of 79, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, W. P. Bassett and Mattie Bassett (Goodlett); and his sisters, Louise Warren and Doris Murphy. He is survived by: his wife Tommie Bassett of Laneville; his son Harold Bassett (Wendy); his grandchildren, Shellbee and Sydnee Bassett of Tyler; his daughter Melanie Tipps (Toby); his grandchildren, Brittany Tipps (Nick Henry), Jordan Tipps, Clayton Tipps and Brad Tipps (Lacie); his great grandchildren, Kory of Brachfield and Kasen of Brachfield; his granddaughter Callie Presley (Louis); his great grandchildren, Braylie and Tallyn of Henderson; his close friend Randy Ainsworth (Tabatha); and also Hezekiah of Jacksonville. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, other family and many friends.
