It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Vernon Humphreys (Lancaster, Texas), born in Watauga, Tennessee, who passed away on February 2, 2025, at the age of 81, leaving to mourn family and friends. In the hush of twilight, as the stars twinkle in silent homage, we reflect on the legacy Vernon leaves behind and his impact on the lives of his loved ones. Though Vernon may no longer walk among us, his spirit lives on in the memories held dear by his family and friends, a guiding light that illuminates their paths in times of darkness.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Harold Lee and Sarah Bennett Humphreys; and his son Jeff Humphreys. He is survived by: his wife Michelle Kuehl of Lancaster, Texas; his daughter Mandy; his son-in-law James Early of Dallas; his sisters, Barbie Bockmon-Stegman of Pittsburg and Carolyn Rushing of Lewisville, Texas; and his sisters-in-law, Anne Crawford (Brent) and Lisa Beth Smegner. He is also survived by uncles, aunts, cousins, nieces, nephews.
