He was predeceased by: his parents, Perman Edward and Etta Adeline Copeland (Sweatman); his wife Laura "Ginny" Copeland of Virginia; and his siblings, Mary Ruth Wheeler and Ernie Allen Copeland.
He is survived by: his children, Alisha Riordan and Brandon Copeland; his son-in-law Randy Riordan; his grandchildren, Nikki (Eric Keller), Nathan Riordan, Chase (Whitney Riordan) and Chad Riordan (Chelsea Mast); and his great grandchildren, Amy, CJ, Ryan, Sky, Cara, Lexus, Storm, Dawsyn and Addisyn. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
