He was predeceased by: his parents, Archie Alvin and Dosie Katherine Bosher Hulshouser; his son Michael Ray Hulshouser; and his sisters, Thelma Rhea Fouts (T. C. Fouts) and Mildred Irene Turner (Jack Bruce Turner).

He is survived by: his wife Virginia Milner Hulshouser of Lancaster, Texas; his daughter-in-law Marcy Nitsche; his grandchildren, Whitney Hulshouser Newton (Chris) and Michael Delaney Hulshouser (Maria); his great grandchildren, Megan Rhea Newton and Lorelai Michelle Hulshouser; and his siblings, Wayne Hulshouser, Glenn Hulshouser (Sharon) and Norma White (Pete). He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, other family members and friends.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made in Ray's honor to the First Christian Church of Duncanville, TX.
