He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parent Jessie Lawrence; his close friend Dolores White; his wife Betty June Wade; his children, Kenneth Dale Wade, Peggy Ann Patison, Cecil Wade and Vickie Wade (Laura); and his grandchildren, Paul Patison III (Dana), Stacie Decker (Darrin), Misty Wade and Cecili Wade. He was also cherished by 10 great-grandchildren; and 3 great-great-grandchildren.
