Steve Newkirk Obituary

We bid farewell to Steve Newkirk (Lampasas, Texas), whose journey of life gracefully concluded on April 11, 2025 at the age of 52. Steve touched countless lives with warmth and kindness, leaving behind cherished memories that will forever echo in hearts. He was predeceased by: his grandparent Clemons; and his nephew Zachary Ramsey. He is survived by: his parent Gayle Clemons Newkirk; his children, Megan Shea (Stephen Warne), Tanner Clay (Caitlin Newkirk) and Caitlyn Elizabeth (Aidan Davis); his wife Kristy; his children, Koren Newkirk and Jayce Newkirk; his grandsons, Bowen, Brooks, Baines, Benny Warne and Wells Davis; his mother Debbie Simmons; and his siblings, Michelle Newkirk (Lex Ramsey), Michael Simmons and Jimmy Simmons (Dana). He is also survived by many aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews.

Visitation was held on Thursday, April 17th 2025 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Sneed - Carnley Funeral Chapel (201 E 3rd St, Lampasas, TX 76550). A funeral service will be held on Friday, April 18th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the San Saba's First Baptist Church (208 W Wallace St, San Saba, TX 76877).

Charitable donations may be made in Steve's name to fund police academy scholarships.
