Mary Louise Dalton Obituary
Mary Louise Dalton, 83, passed away December 8, 2023 in Waco, Texas. Graveside services will be 11:00 AM, Saturday, December 16, 2023 at Oakwood Cemetery with Reverend David Cozart officiating. Family will receive friends from 6:00 to 8:00 PM on Friday, December 15, 2023 at Connally/Compton Funeral Directors.
Mary was born on February 3, 1940 to Herbert Caldon Sr. and Amy Caldon in Bristol New Hampshire. Her being a middle child, she had four other siblings, Marjorie Clark, Barbara Adams who are survivors. Mary was also married to Charles Dalton Sr. who moved from New Hampshire to Texas when Charles joined the army. They lived in Lampasas, she worked in a school cafeteria, and had four children. Mary focused her life around her family, especially her children and grandchildren. Her hobbies included gardening,, T.V. watching, reading books, doing puzzles, and above all going for rides in her Ol' Green pickup truck. She enjoyed talking with her neighbors and was a very independent woman who lived a quiet and peaceful life.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Herbert Caldon Sr., and Amy Caldon. Sons, Jeff Dalton and Charles Dalton, Jr. Daughter Patricia Dalton. Brothers Robert Caldon and Herbert Caldon Jr.
Survivors include her grandsons, Joshua Bates of Waco, Christopher Nelson and daughters Gracee Nelson and Ivy Nelson of Killeen; daughter, Diane Hayes of Glasgow, Kentucky and sons, Nickalas Hayes of Glasgow, Kentucky and Richard Stockton of Fort Hood and her daughter, Jeannie Hayes of Glasgow, Kentucky.
