He was predeceased by: his parents, Leroy Hamilton and Nettie Mae Hamilton (Minton); his wife Amelia "Micki" Hamilton; his son Jimmy Elliott; his grandson Cody Hamilton; and his siblings, Faye, Sybil, Carl Gene, Bill, Nolan, Leroy and Nathan.
He is survived by: his children, Daniel Hamilton (Wendy), Karen Arsenault (Kenny), Shannon Boston Pate and Tamara Freed (Jeff); his grandchildren, Jayme Barrett (Jason), Travis Patterson (Jennifer), Jeffrey Freed (Sara), Tara Freed and Brandi Hamilton; and his great grandchildren, Lily, Kayleigh, Connor Freed, Connor Patterson, Benjamin, Hailey, Hannah, Cara, Jordyn and Jayla.
