He was predeceased by: his parents, Thomas Dewitt Smith and Addie Hammett Smith; and his children, Myrna and Jerry Smith. He is survived by: his wife Frances Smith; his children, Dean Smith (Marcella), James Smith and Darlene Kyle (Mark); and his grandchildren, Brandon Smith (Angela), Cheryl Simmons (Mitch), Sean Smith, Jordan Smith, Justin Kyle (Gabby), Bethany Warner (Joseph) and Kady Carter (Jordan). He is also survived by fifteen great grandchildren and four great-great grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorials be made to School Creek Baptist Church, 11228 County Rd 3500, Lampasas, TX 76550, or a charity of choice.
